I kind of struggled to follow all of your points here

But the idea of this piece is SUPER interesting and I love how we are using BDSM as a metaphor to represent what a rebranded patriarchy would look. It would be the metaphorical consensual rape and abuse of woman, taking there consent away at their consent, the choice to sacrifice freedom.

It gives such a clear image of what the power dynamic is.

Just trying to understand - Are you saying that women with CNC kinks are trying to resolve their negative feelings about being oppressed in a patriarchal society by reframing it as them choosing to be submissive (ie their kink), so they could see the oppression/submission as positive and chosen?

I think that’s what you’re saying…. And I think there’s truth to that… feels like what women who “choose” to be trad wives are doing too

Yeah your understanding is correct. In a culture where submission is already expected of women, choosing it sexually or domestically can feel like a reclamation. The problem is, the social structures don’t change just because the performance becomes consensual.
